Well if the problem with distortion is that it makes one guy not targetable, why not just have distortion be a small AoE so the person with distortion can protect the person being tunneled? It fits with Mr. Beardman's other perks, he's a hook rescuer. This is much better than having the perk just passively work on everyone at once. We can keep your idea of the blue buff icon so that your team can see that too, and your idea of making people yellow when they're being seen by an aura reading perk also works. Because distortion right now is not that strong so buffing it into a team perk is a good idea, but your idea is not a very interactive for survivors as it does not really fit into any build and not fun for killers going against a SFW. We could balance it better by making it so you cannot gain stacks after it's been activated for 30 seconds, even if you're not the one whose aura is being read, so that prevents teams from stacking it to have permanent invis. Can also add your idea of removing stacks if more than one person has it on a team. Can also add that Distortion will pop on a teammate in your AoE if they get read, so that way, it shows both of you yellow at once if it's a team reading perk, or just you or them if it's a single person reading perk.

Terrible wrong happened to you Otz. Had a similar situation and tell you that, it'll get better overtime. For now, stay strong, even if the world feels like it falls apart around you, find the strenght to continue whatever it is you are doing. I managed to get 5 stacks pentimento with Twins, with Ruin, Undying, Plaything and Pentimento. Turns out having victor to protect your first pentimento totem makes it *really easy* to get to the other 4 totems before they cleanse one.

Distortion is just necessary. I'm sorry but with amount of aura reading perks. And POP+PAIN RES is as annoying as huntress with 210840141 aura reading perks. Billies with aura reading perks destroy teams in 2 minutes. Nurses with aura readings destroy teams in 2 minutes. Like we have to realise, that okay DISTORTION is annoying against Trappers, Wraiths and any other killers that have a lot of help of aura readings, but for some killers aura reading is extremely dangerous and they provide very unhealthy, very scary, very frustrating games. Not talking about new trend of franklins+weave which is basically WH for free, so Distortion sometimees is necessary to PREVENT terrible games for survivors.

It would be way more useful to see if people are known to be toxic and unfun to play with rather than how many hours they have and what prestiege they are at etc. One will directly influence my fun, the other is just being able to see how well or badly the matchmaking matched me and trying to abuse it. Using tricks to play dirty or "cheat" and all that stuff makes winning less fun and losing really frustrating so I've started avoiding that in games even if it makes me worse.

Survivor perks need to encourage teamwork and distortion is completely counter to that by being selfish which negatively affects the team-based play that survivors are supposed to be encouraged towards. Your suggestion goes into the right direction but has a problem with stackability. As a game designer, I personally would make it proccable on and affect all teammates and work on stacks/recharging etc from there to balance the perk in a way that feels fair. A random other idea would be to "steal" aura revealing effects onto yourself with the perk, so you're hiding other players at a cost to yourself. This would make it not grief random teammates in solo queue and not require a lot of redesign work. It would probably need to recharge differently or not at all, however.

Picture yourself running head on and DS and instead of getting distance from the killer you just die because the killer has a huge almost impossible to miss AOE attack. Yeah i can understand why they would give her this nerf.

You're running into so many distortions because killers have almost 100 perks/add ons together to find us and that is frustrating to many. I like the perk and started running it a few months back. I don't feel like it should change. You're and Tofu are the best in the community Otz.

9:22:01 as a xenomorph main, trust me, the chase (or whatever you’re doing) is more important than taking out the turrets. If a turret hits you, don’t immediately rush off to destroy it because you can do that later. Instead just play as a normal killer because this shows the survivors that they basically have no defence against you.

Now that modifiers were introduced they should add it as one at some point

Release Freddy and Release Legion was the best thing. they was unique to there time. but got gutted. Now both are boring to play. Same with Hex: Undying. You all do prefer gens instead make totems. My games to this time was not forever. And after Twins Chapter Bubba got bugged and even now he is bugged. and every chapter brought more bugs same for resident evil. it was totally unplayable on console and full of crashes. For you is everything wrong. You cant accept no matter what bhvr is doing the game is going repetitive over time. When you something unfair. You want it fair. even after changes you find something what you doesnt like or thing its a problem.
